What Giclée Prints Are

Giclée (pronounced "zhee-clay") is a French word meaning "that which is sprayed or squirted". With the advent of giclée, the art of reproducing fine art has become even more precise. Giclée prints have the highest apparent resolution available today. Since no screens are used, giclées apparent resolution exceeds that of lithographs and a color range that exceeds that of serigraphy. Displaying a full color spectrum, they capture every nuance of an original and have gained wide acceptance from artists and galleries throughout the world.

For limited edition prints, Aaron Art uses archival Epson UltraChrome® inks in combination with Hahnemuhle's 100% cotton rag 316 gsm acid free paper to ensure the highest color gamut and permanence of print integrity available toda. For open edition prints, the same inkset is used in combination with Epson's acid free Radiant White Watercolor Paper.

All prints are treated with Premier's Art Print Shield to enhance the print integrity against UV light, moisture, and air pollutants. When framed under glass and exhibited out of direct sunlight, Aaron Art prints should maintain their color gamut for decades to come.
